Humanitarian Parole
- What is Humanitarian Parole?
Humanitarian Parole is granted to individuals on a case by case basis by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security for urgent humanitarian reasons or public benefit. Humanitarian parole cannot be used to circumvent normal visa-issuing procedures. This is an extraordinary measure used sparingly to bring otherwise inadmissible aliens for a temporary period of time into the U.S.
